May 13, Claire Stamper rated it really liked it. This book is not yet featured on Listopia. The material is not really dated. I like Jim as a writer and a presenter and am generally impressed by his work.


Barring those, this would absolutely be a five star book! One concept that the book covered well was the fact that time slows down as an individual travels faster. I khalilu reading it very much. The writing is very easy going and concepts are made very easy to understand. A great crib for furtive, refreshing use.

Jim has written this book in the easiest and often most humerous way that even a Neanderthal could understand. They exist in two places at once, macines tunnel through impenetrable barriers, travel in two different directions simultaneously, and even have several conflicting properties simultaneously.

Wormholles some of these are my own lack of understanding and inability to grasp what the author is saying, but, nonetheless, they left me confused and once or twice a little disappointed. In closing, this is hands down, bar-none the absolute best book I have ever read on the introduction to these radically complicated topics for the laymen to understand. In fact, it is one of many dwarf planets beyond Neptune. At one point he says that it “was written with a teenage audience in mind,” which could have put me off, but I’m glad it didn’t.
