HT12D Decoder IC
This IC hasmany applications in short range remote controlling. At low signal data is transferred via antenna and received by Receiver IC which then decodes it to original parallel data. Generally a resistor of value 51 KOhms can be used. In simple terms, HT12D converts the serial input into parallel outputs. These two ICs together form an Encoder and Decoder pair. An LED can also be connected across this terminal to indicate output.
This pin outputs the parallel data serially.
The data on 4 bit latch type output pins remain unchanged until new is received. The input data code is decoded when no error or unmatched codes are found. Whenever an active low signal is applied at its TE pin then only the parallel data gets transferred serially at the output, otherwise the IC is in high impedance state.
The IC is should be powered by 5V pin 18 and the ground pin pin 9 is grounded. This high-density System-in-Package SiP integrates controller, power switches, and support components.
