La cantatrice calva
How fake these all define us. Britishness, how every person in the family is called bobby watson and how a man and woman accept their martial relationship based on these fake identifiers while they dont know each other.
How sexuality is no longer a matter of difference becaus kaybe we all grow up like each other, read the sam What a play! How sexuality is no longer a matter of difference becaus kaybe we all grow up like each other, read the fantatrice books, cakva through the same education, watch the same movies and how absurd all these are.
La cantatrice calva
The moral fables lack moral lessons, the deductive logic no longer proves right the door rings cantattrice and theres no one at the door so the rule they concluded was that when ever the door rings there is no one at the door. Oh, welcome to Absurdistan! Loved it as much as I loved Waiting for Godot.
All’inzio ho scritto Ionesco si burla di secoli e secoli di Teatro Mi sto “assurzizzando” pure io: We read this in french literature class- as in aloud.
I like how Ionesco shows how useless and silly communication is – especially since I’m a little ‘defective’ in communication. Perhaps that’s why I got the fun and jokes and my peers didn’t?
La cantatrice calva by Eugène Ionesco (5 star ratings)
Los temas son limitados y se olvidan mutuamente con extrema rapidez. No se oyen porque no se entienden. Y no se entienden porque no se oyen. Cinco estrellas sin dudar. I read this very slowly in french, and now I am reading it aloud with a tutor, by the end of semester Xantatrice will have read it three times The jokes are hilarious.
They are true and absurd at the same time. It is hard to follow, and ridiculous, and it all kind of climaxes in a cacophony of noise on the stage with characters just yelling syllables at each other. Amazing, I desperately want to see this performed live. Pour ceux qui ne l’ont pas encore lue: Introducerea mea in teatrul absurdului. I enjoyed reading every word of this play. It was as good as Samuel Beckett’s works.
It made perfect sense to me by making no sense at all. And that’s what The Theatre of the Calav is all about. I would have given it more than five stars if possible. Ionesco has a knack for the utterly ridiculous, and is charming as ever in this poke at English suburbia. Confusing, but also quite funny. After all, it is Theatre of the Absurd, so it is going to be confusing.
I loved it, though. I was definitely laughing through most of it.
Ridiculously hilarious and smart! I played the part of Mr. Smith in the Brighton Fringea fantastic and utterly absurd play. It is definitely ‘must to read’ absurd book. You should read original. However, fun still exists in this book. There are no discussion topics on this book yet. Beyond ridiculing the most banal situations, Ionesco’s plays depict in valva tangible way the solitude and insignificance of human existence.
